The four elements handfasting set has its roots in Celtic Traditions as an Elemental Blessing. It involves blessing with the four fundamental elements that underlie all of creation: air, fire, water and earth, symbolized by the colors yellow, red, blue and green. The honoring of these elements is an important aspect of many ancient traditions and it is a very popular inclusion in wedding ceremonies.
Pendants are optional, you can choose those you see in the pictures, or choose your own, just put your choice in the personalization box.
If you wish have your cords finished with just the Celtic cone endings and no pendants, choose "No pendants" in the Variation dropbox, and state whether you want silver or gold cones.
The colors in the set shown are Wild Rose, Forest, Aqua and Golden Mustard.
*Note - if you want different pendants on either end of one cord, we can do that too!
